\t\t\tThe \u00abTutoring for Secondary School Students\u00bb offers the students attending senior secondary schools (Instituts d’Educaci\u00f3 Superior -IES) the chance to conduct the practical part of their research project and gain hands-on-experience at the laboratories of the Technology and Scientific Platforms and research groups of companies based at PCB. Selected students will be tutored by an appointed researcher who will in addition provide support for the elaboration of their project. Nonetheless, the student will continue to be tutored by his or her regular school teacher, who will be ultimately responsible and manage the project. <\/p>\n

The program concludes with the presentation of three awards to the best research projects carried out by participating secondary students and schools. The winners will also have the opportunity to have their own stand at the \u00abLive Research Fair<\/a>\u00bb where they will be able explain to the attendees their winning projects. <\/p>\n

It is one of the Parc Cientific de Barcelona strategic lines to promote scientific literacy of citizens and to foster vocations among young people. Under the framework of the \u00abResearch in Society\u00bb program, the PCB was created several innovative communication channels to promote communication between the public and researchers and hence communicate ‘live science’. The park currently offers more than 120 annual classroom activities with the participation of more than 4,500 people yearly. <\/p>\n
