\t\t\tTitled “The transfer of technology and know-University-Industry: Challenges and Opportunities.” The conference aims to reflect through a debate on the need to facilitate and encourage the mass transfer of knowledge and technology to the business world, and will analyze the transfer of technology and knowledge to the business world as a centerpiece of the “third mission of universities” in both its history from 80 years as its future prospects, until 2023. The report, published in 2012 for the collection of documents of the Foundation Knowledge and Development, provides a historical overview of the deployment process of transfer to Spain and its relationship with both the legislative framework and the introduction the concept of information society in the European scene. More specifically, it addresses the characteristics and limitations of the main types of transfer: the contract research and collaborative research, with demand as the driving force, and the sale or licensing of intellectual property generated and creating spin-offs, which forms the impetus comes from science itself, namely, the research results generated by research groups and university departments. Xavier Testar will present the report, and panel discussion will be moderated by Francesc Santacana, vice president of CYD, with the participation of M. Carme Verdaguer, Managing Director of the FBG at the University of Barcelona; \u200b\u200bPere Condom, director of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Girona; Maria Salamero, Aqualogy Director of Knowledge (Agbar); and Jaume Veciana, professor of Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona and founder of NANOMOL Technologies. <\/p>\n
