Both programs are aimed primarily at high school students aged 15 to 18 years, although they can also be useful for organizing educational activities by civil society entities. <\/p>\n<p> Xplore Health is a European educational portal of biomedical research that provides innovative multimedia tools and youth activities through the Internet, schools and science museums. The program is designed for teachers and students, and is structured in thematic modules that revolve around areas related to current research, such as drug development, genomics, biotechnology, cancer, malaria and AIDS. <\/p>\n<p> The portal was created with the wish to expand the dissemination of information offer provided by the Barcelona Science Park under its programme  &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/homePCB\/live\/en\/p200.asp\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Research in Society<\/a>&#8216;, which includes 120 activities aimed at 4,500 people per year. <\/p>\n<p> The project is developed by a European consortium, coordinated by the PCB, with the participation also of the Centre of the Cell (University of London) and two European networks that coordinate in room activities: the European School Net, which encompasses more than 30,000 schools from over 30 countries, and the European Network of Science Centres and Museums (ECSITE), which embraces over 400 science museums. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new module on HIV \/ AIDS, developed jointly by the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and the AIDS Research Institute IrsiCaixa, with the collaboration of the &#8216;la Caixa&#8217; Foundation has been published  today in the European educational portal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xplorehealth.eu\/en\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xplore Health<\/a>, led by the Barcelona Science Park (PCB).
