\t\t\tBioGLane is a biotechnology spin-off from the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), founded by doctors Pedro Clap\u00e9s, Jes\u00fas Joglar, Josep Llu\u00eds Torres and businessman Sergio Pumarola. The company is actually located at the Barcelona Science Park and the Institut de Qu\u00edmica Avan\u00e7ada de Catalunya-CSIC. <\/p>\n

BioGlane is the first company in the world to offer and promote natural iminosugars. The spin-off is dedicated to improving quality of life by means of the design and development of new bioactive compounds and the implementation of net production processes. At present its main product line consists of the industrial and competitive production of natural iminosugars as nutritional ingredients in functional foods. BioGlane is the first company in the world to offer and promote natural iminosugars, and has developed an absolute original range of new healthy food formulations for the people of today. <\/p>\n

The Expoquimia Award R+D+I aims to encourage researchers to undertake a task that is essential to the evolution and development of a sector that drives science and technology. the award will be broken down into two categories: R+D+I Award i R+D+I Biotechnology Award.The Award consists of a Diploma, a Medal from Expoquimia 2011 and a monetary award amounting to 5,000 \u20ac per category. During the public award ceremony, the Winner, as requested by Expoquimia, will briefly summarise (10 minutes maximum) the characteristics and merits of his or her project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
