The section devoted to new elements and technology transfer models was given by the director of the PCB, M\u00e0rius Rubiralta, who presented the PCB and other European models and the concept of bioregions. <\/p>\n

Started in 1991, the IBEROEKA<\/a> project includes the participation of 21 countries that form part of the Latin American Programme for Science and Technology for Development CYTED<\/a>, which includes, on the one hand, Spain and Portugal, and on the other, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Equador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.<\/p>\n

The CYTED<\/a>, is an international programme to promote scientific and technological cooperation which was set up in 1984 through an Inter-institutional Agreement, The main aim of the CYTED<\/a> is to contribute to the sustainable development of Latin America by strengthening its capacity for technological development and by promoting innovation in its production systems and social services.<\/p>\n

The CYTED<\/a> is supported by technology centres, public research institutions, companies, universities, international and national organizations related to science and technology, and agents of information and production systems management.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

From 26 to 30 April, the Parc Cient\u00edfic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park) attended the VI IBEROEKA<\/a> Meeting held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
