Aimed at experts interested in this research field, the course will include the presentation of the most recent experimental work that addresses the relation between changes in the brain and attention in early infancy. In addition, Professor Richards will explain more questions related to theoretical models of cognitive neuroscience on attention and techniques to measure this capacity in newborns and infant, among other subjects. <\/p>\n<p> John E. Richards graduated in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he became interested in the psycho-physiology of attention. At present, he is the principal investigator of two research lines focussed on the development of continued attention in newborns from 2 to 6 months and in the set-up of a high density EEG\/ERP laboratory for the study of developmental cognitive neuroscience. <\/p>\n<p> The GRNC group belongs to the Dept of Basic Psychology at the Universitat de Barcelona and works in the field of neurocognition at the Parc Cient\u00edfic de Barcelona.
