The “Research at Secondary Schools Awards” recognise the three best research projects of secondary students who have carried out part of their research at the Barcelona Science Park. These awards are framed within the programme \u00ab“Research at Secondary Schools”<\/a>\u00bb, launched by the Science Diffusion Unit of the Barcelona Science Park, which offers students from secondary schools the opportunity to receive help from a PCB tutor throughout one year, as well as the chance to perform practice sessions at the Barcelona Science Park laboratories to develop their research projects. <\/p>\n

The event will be presided by the president of the Catalan Government, Jos\u00e9 Montilla, and will be attended by the minister of Innovation, Universities and Business, Josep Huguet, and the minister of Education, Ernest Maragall. Attendees will include the young award winners, the tutors who provided their support for the development of these students’ projects, as well as the representatives of the Institutions that have organised and granted the awards. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Next Saturday, May 16, the “Inventiveness Party” will be held at the Auditorium of the Vertex Building of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. This initiative is framed within the programme “\u00ab Enginycat! <\/a>\u00bb, created by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, and aims to recognise the talent and effort of 100 young Catalan secondary students who received first prize in 2008 for their projects relating to science or technology.
