\t\t\tThe agreement also aims to potentiate synergies between associate companies. The two organisations have therefore undertaken to give the maximum possible publicity to their products and services, and also to the work experience programmes and employment opportunities they offer. <\/p>\n

According to the managing director of the PCB, Fernando Albericio, “this agreement is a good initiative that other science parks in Spain should join up to, since it allows us to expand and share resources in a way that means that technological infrastructures do not represent such a high investment.” He goes on to explain that, “it also facilitates cooperation and allows us to join forces to promote R&D and innovation together.” <\/p>\n

Antonio D\u00edaz, the managing director of the PCM, says that the agreement is in tune with the PCM mission statement. This includes facilitating resources to increase R&D activity and thus lead to the successful development of academic and scientific business initiatives. Another aim of the PCM is for such business projects to lead to a more competitive business fabric and to the creation of quality jobs. <\/p>\n

Barcelona Science Park and Madrid Science Park, as agents of innovation in the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous and Complutense Universities of Madrid, respectively, also participate in the Ibero-American University Network of Company Incubation (Red Emprendia<\/a>), a project that includes twelve universities, the Banco Santander (collaborating in the initiative via its Divisi\u00f3n Global Santander Universidades) and Universia. The Network’s aim is to promote transference of research results to society, especially in regard to the life sciences, and to promote the creation of more than 100 university spin-offs in the next five years. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
