With summer comes the heat (tips to maintain the optimal temperature of the air conditioner)

Air conditioning systems help to combat the summer heat by keeping us cool indoors despite the temperature and humidity conditions outside. High temperatures can affect people’s health and ability to concentrate, however, an indoor–outdoor temperature difference of more than 10°C is not recommended.

For the sake of comfort and energy savings, it is advisable to keep indoor temperatures within the appropriate range for the time of year. In summer, the indoor temperature should be between 24°C and 26°C.

It is important to measure the temperature at the specific workplace because the thermostats of the climate equipment serve large spaces and the set temperature varies depending on the point in the room being measured.

In some buildings, offices and laboratories have individual fan coils. These devices do not switch off automatically, so at the end of each working day and especially at weekends and during holidays, they must be switched off manually.

Saving energy requires everyone’s cooperation.
