The GAEM organizes a debate on new therapeutic strategies for multiple sclerosis

Next Friday, November 26, at 5 p.m., a debate conference titled "New therapeutic approaches in the treatment of multiple sclerosis" will be held at the CosmoCaixa Barcelona Auditorium. This debate, organized by the GAEM Foundation (Group of People Affected by Multiple Sclerosis), which is based at the Barcelona Science Park, aims to provide information on advances made in this field and bring the points of views of researchers, specialised doctors, administration and patients, closer together.

The following specialists will be participating in the debate: Joan X. Comella Carnicé, director of the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute; Màrius Rubiralta, General Secretary of Universities, Roland Martin, director of the Institute of Neuroimmunology and Clinical MS Research, Zentrum für Molekulare Neurobiologie, of the University of Hamburg; Pablo Villoslada, researcher at the Neuroimmunology-Multiple Sclerosis Unit of the Clinical Hospital, based at the PCB; Fernando de Castro, Developmental Neurobiology Group, SESCAM Hospital for Paraplegic Patients of Toledo; Eva Martinez, director of the MS LIRAD Tolervit Project, Blood and Tissue Bank, Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital; Cristina Ramo, head of the Multiple Sclerosis Unit at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and coordinator of the Celltrims Project, and Marco Pugliese, scientific director of the company Neurotec Pharma, which conducts research in this field and is part of the PCB-Santander Bioincubator hosted by the PCB. Journalist Ana Macpherson will moderate the debate.

After the debate attending guests will be given the chance to ask questions.
