The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation will attend the Genera Fair

The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation will attend the Genera 2014, Energy and Environment International Trade Fair. The event will take place from 6 to 8 May in Feria Madrid. The FBG present technologies that the University of Barcelona has available for licensing and the research of UB as a provider of technology solutions within the sectors of Energy, Environment & Water, Electronics and Sensors, and Information and Communication Technologies.

Alongside the Innovation Gallery and the business opportunities on offer, Genera 2014 –Organized by IFEMA and the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE)– will host a programme of technical seminars. This opportunity for scientific discussion is organized by IFEMA and the Fair’s sponsor organizations and will feature in-depth analyses of important issues currently affecting renewables, efficiency in the sector, and sustainable environmental management. Also part of the event is the Genera Forum, where there will be detailed discussion of some of the innovations and solutions presented at the Fair. At the same time, Genera 2014 will once more host the Conference on Energy and Environmental Technology Transfer sponsored by the General Directorate of Universities and Research through the Madrid+d Foundation.

The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG) focuses on promoting and managing the transfer of the knowledge and technology generated at the University of Barcelona. Its goal is to bring the scientific and technical skills and the results of the research generated at the UB to the market by means of contracts for R+D+i, consultancy services and the protection, valuation and licensing of patents and the creation of new knowledge-based enterprises. The FBG was created in 1983 and has become the catalyst for the link between the university, business and society. The foundation manages over 800 projects every year, and over 600 of these involve contracts with businesses and institutions.
