Genesis Ventures selects the NeuroHeal project by the UAB’s Neurosciences Institute for its first investment Blog Post

The Genesis Ventures fund—managed by the consultancy firm Genesis Biomed headquartered in the Barcelona Science Park—has secured its first deal with its investment of €75,000 in the NeuroHeal project, a new pharmacological combination that accelerates nerve regeneration, developed at the Neurosciences Institute (INc) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

Under the name Baula, the start-up Midas Clean, based at the Barcelona Science Park, has launched to market a new family of effervescent tablets that mark the start of the 3.0 era in the cleaning sector by combining efficacy (1.0) with ecology (2.0). These are ‘first in class’ –products developed by means of a highly innovative processing technology and under social, economical and environmental sustainability criteria– thereby offering an equal or superior performance to that of high-end equivalent proposal based on a non-ecological formulation.

On 16 and 17 November Santiago de Xile hosted the last edition of the largest biotechnology partnering conference in Latin-America, Biolatam 2015.The event, produced by EBD Group and ASEBIO in collaboration with ProChile and Chile Biotech, was attended by over 340 life science dealmakers from pharma, biotech and service companies representing US, Latin American and European entities.organized by the Spanish Association of Biocompanies  (Asebio), EBD Group and Chilean biotechnology companies (Asembio), with the support of ProChile and the Chilebiotech cluster.
