The European biotechnology sector to meet in Hamburg Blog Post

Hamburg will host this year, from November 11 to 13, the 25th edition of BIO-Europe, the most important partnering event for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry in Europe, organized by EBD-Group. Biocat, the organization that coordinates and promotes the healthcare and life sciences sector in Catalonia, from its headquarters in the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), will be at the fair and help raise awareness of Catalan presence internationally. The event will feature, once again, an outstanding representation of the PCB Community.

 

Record-breaking turnout at Bio€quity from the Barcelona Science Park Blog Post

On 20 and 21 May, Barcelona played host for the first time to Bio€quity Europe, the main investment event focussing on the European biopharmaceutical industry, thanks to an initiative from the Comité Anfitrión Regional (Regional Hosting Committee) comprising Biocat, CataloniaBio & HealthTech, ACCIÓ and Ysios Capital. A dozen companies from the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) were chosen by the organisation as some of the 80 most promising biotechnologies in Europe to present their project to the 550 investors, business developers and experts into biopharmaceutical licensing that attended the event.

From 25 to 27 September, the FIBES Exhibition Congress Centre in Seville will be the venue for BioSpain 2018, one of the the largest biotech event in Europe and the fifth most important event in the world in terms of number of partnering meetings. This 9th edition of the event is being organised by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (ASEBIO) together with the Regional Government of Andalusia, through the IDEA Agency. Nearly one hundred companies and institutions from the BioRegion of Catalonia – including the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and a large number of entities located in the Park – have confirmed their attendance at the fair, which is held every two years in a different Spanish city.
