Modular Building’s Main Entrance Moves to No. 10 Baldiri i Reixac Street

From next Monday, 3 March, the Modular Building's main entrance, now located in Josep Samitier Street, will move to number 10 Baldiri i Reixac Street. The move coincides with the completed remodelling of the Administration Building and access is to be through the remodelled building's ground floor.

With the completion of the move, all reception and security services offered by the two buildings will be joined. The twofold objective is to give better attention to users of the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and to continue integrating the PCB’s various facilities and services. At the same time, the current entrance to the Modular Building will close, serving only as an emergency exit in future.

The Administration Building, which has been fully renovated, occupies 4,200 square metres. In addition to the PCB’s management and administration offices currently located on the ground floor, it will also be home to the management and administration offices of the Barcelona Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), the Catalonia Institute for Bioengineering (IBEC), the Barcelona Institute of Molecular Biology (IBMB-CSIC), the biotech companies Advancell and Enantia, and the administration and quality assurance unit of the University of Barcelona’s Scientific and Technical Services Department.

Similarly, the new building will also wholly house the companies Kymos Pharma Services, Meteosim, two spin-offs in the new PCB-Santander Bioincubator —Intelligent Pharma and Agrasys— and the venture capital firm Ysios Capital Partners.

These organisations will take up occupancy in the building gradually, starting in the first week of March.

The Administration Building will also boast six new meeting rooms and a common room. The common room is to be freely available to the entire PCB community and will, in the near future, replace the Sala Laval, which is set to become a laboratory before the year is out.
