Health 2.0 Europe coming to Barcelona

After five European editions in Paris, Berlin and London, Health 2.0 Europe will be held in Barcelona this year from 18 to 20 May at the AXA Auditorium. The conference will bring together the global health innovation community, approximately 500 delegates, including entrepreneurs, investors, executives, pharmaceutical and insurance companies, doctors and patients. Health 2.0 aims to be the ideal European showcase to explore and examine new collaborations in the ICT health arena in Europe. Montserrat Vendrell, CEO of Biocat, and the Parc Científic de Barcelona, actively participated at the conference as a speaker in the panel discussion.

The program of conferences for the first day includes several practical sessions, including the workshop Beyond Gamification – Designing for Behavior Change on design and getting patients involved, and the workshop GET Inspired – Solving Provider Challenges with Digital Technology on co-creation of digital solutions to real health problems. The same day, there will also be a digital health investment forum under the framework of the European GET project, providing health SMEs looking for funding with an environment to network with investors from around Europe.

The other two days of Health 2.0 will feature conferences and panel discussions on topics like integrating care and tools for hospitals and health professionals, reimbursement and Health 2.0 in emerging markets.

Panel discussion on Pharma 2.0

On Tuesday 19 May at 12:15 pm, there will be a panel discussion entitled Beyond the Pill – Pharma 2.0, moderated by Jorge Juan Fernández, academic director of Moebio –an initiative of Biocat– and director of e-Health and Health 2.0 at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona. The panel will also include Montserrat Vendrell, CEO of Biocat and the PCB  Jessica Federer of Bayer Healthcare and Eddie Chan of Sanofi. This session will focus not only on data collected and compared by large pharmaceutical companies, but also digital solutions created by start-ups currently being used by pharmaceutical firms.
