DESCRIPTION:We’re gathering Barcelona’s leading scientists\, engineers\, founders\, and technical leaders pursuing research at the edge of what is possible. \n​Join us for an evening exploring how ambitious science gets funded\, and how exceptional technical leaders can shape entirely new research directions. \n​We’ll begin with a short introduction to ARIA\, followed by lightning talks from researchers and founders working on ambitious technical problems\, before continuing the conversation over food and drinks. \n​What is ARIA?\n​The Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) is the UK’s high-risk\, high-reward R&D funding agency\, created to unlock scientific and technological breakthroughs by supporting research that is too ambitious\, speculative\, or interdisciplinary to pursue elsewhere. \n​ARIA operates through Programme Directors: exceptional scientific and technical leaders who spot overlooked opportunities\, define bold technical visions\, and bring together the people and projects needed to pursue them. \n​ARIA is now recruiting its third cohort of Programme Directors for a May 2027 start. \n​Who should attend?\n​This event is intended for deeply technical people who: \n\n\n​Have experience leading ambitious\, outcome-driven scientific or technical work \n\n\n​Enjoy uncovering non-obvious approaches to difficult problems \n\n\n​Care about shaping the future of science and technology \n\n\n​May be interested in becoming a future ARIA Programme Director or applying for ARIA’s funding

DESCRIPTION:Com es transforma una idea científica en una empresa capaç de fabricar productes biotecnològics a escala industrial? \n\n\n\n\nCom es transforma una idea científica en una empresa capaç de fabricar productes biotecnològics a escala industrial? Quins són els desafiaments tècnics\, regulatoris\, financers i humans que cal superar perquè una startup es converteixi en una organització amb capacitats productives pròpies? \nEn aquesta xerrada comptarem amb la participació de l’Albert Font\, emprenedor del sector biotecnològic que ens compartirà l’experiència la creació i el creixement de Leanbio\, una startup biotecnològica que ha evolucionat des dels seus inicis al Parc Científic de Barcelona fins a disposar de capacitats GMP de desenvolupament i fabricació de productes biològics. \nLa sessió serà conduida per Klinea\, enginyeria especialitzada en el disseny de processos i plantes de producció biofarmacèutiques. \nUna oportunitat única per conèixer de primera mà el camí que porta de la recerca a la producció industrial.
