The PCB-UB joins IASP, the global network of science and technology parks

The Barcelona Science Park of the University of Barcelona (PCB-UB) joins the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation Areas (IASP), the global network that brings together nearly 400 science and technology parks across 77 countries and represents more than 142,000 innovative companies worldwide.

Founded in 1984 and headquartered at the Andalusia Technology Park in Málaga, IASP is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization managed by experts in science and technology parks, innovation districts, and other innovation areas. Its mission is to coordinate the global network of science and technology park managers, represent its members in international forums and institutions, and foster new business opportunities and global connections for its member organizations.

The incorporation of PCB-UB will be formally ratified at the IASP General Assembly, to be held on October 29, 2026, in Sophia Antipolis (France), where the Park will also acquire voting rights as a full member.
