InKemia IUCT enters the capital of Mind the Byte Blog Post

Mind the Byte -located at the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB) -and specialized in cloud computing solutions for biomedical and biotechnological research– has just closed a funding round of 200,000 € to accelerate the development and commercialization of its SaaS platforms (Software as a Service) for drug discovery. This capital increase has been led by InKemia IUCT Group, which has acquired a 5% stake in shares and will have a representative on the board of directors as a strategic partner. This operation has also resulted in the signing of a collaboration agreement under which both companies will be able to share customers, products and services, and will permit Mind the Byte to offer complete packages, from software or service design to product synthesis.

Aquesta iniciativa –organitzada per l’Àrea de Difusió de la Ciència Tdel PCB, en col·laboració amb la Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera– s’adreça a estudiants de primer de batxillerat amb la finalitat d’oferir-los la possibilitat de dur a terme la part pràctica del seu treball de recerca als laboratoris del PCB, tutelats per un investigador. El termini per presentar les sol·licituds finalitza 16 de juny.

10th call of grants for the Program «Tutoring for Secondary School Students» Blog Post

Today, the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB) has announced the opening of the 10th call of grants for the «» project, aimed at researchers wishing to become the tutors of secondary students during their end-of high school research project. The initiative is promoted and coordinated by the PCB with the support of Fundació Catalunya–La Pedrera and the collaboration of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and is included in the program «Research in Society», aimed at bringing closer together the school community and to foster scientific vocations among these young students. The deadline for the submission of applications closes on 19 May.

12th edition of «Live Research Fair» Blog Post

The presentation of the «» was held yesterday at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB). This initiative, organized by the Technical Directorate of Public Engagement in Science at the PCB, in collaboration with CatalunyaCaixa- is aimed at secondary school junior students (11th grade) to give them the possibility of carrying out the practicum of their research in laboratories at the PCB, supervised by a researcher.
