9th Awards of the UB Board of Trustees and the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation

The Board of Trustees of the University of Barcelona and the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, locat at PCB, announce the 9th Awards of the Board of Trustees and the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation. They announced two awards: the Antoni Caparrós Award, to the best project of transferring knowledge, and the Senén Vilaró Award, to the best innovative firm created by a UB graduate or affiliated with the UB Group. The deadline for applications is 31 May.

 

These two awards seek to encourage the transfer of knowledge acquired through studies and research; to appreciate the importance of technology, knowledge and innovation transfer projects; to enhance the creation of innovative knowledge-based companies; to recognise the innovative capacity generated, and to promote entrepreneurial culture within the UB Group.

The Knowledge Transfer program in psoriasis between the academia and the industry developed by the Translational Immunology Group of the Department of Physiology and Immunology at the UB – led by Dr. Lluís Francesc Santamaria Babí and based at  PCB– has been recognized with the Antoni Caparrós Award 2015. The Antoni Caparrós Award was also granted to the program “Binding” of Josep Maria Sopena, professor at the Deparment of Basic Psychology of the UB. The winner of the Senén Vilaró Award 2015 for best innovative company was Worldsensing.
