The Automated Crystallography Platform
(PAC) is a Technology Platform
that results from the interaction between
the Barcelona Science Park (PCB)
and the Spanish National Research
Council (CSIC). The PAC is a confluence
space between the lines of expertise of
the CSIC crystallography groups and the
instrumentation and personnel contribution
of the PCB, and two of the institutes
located in the PCB, the Barcelona
Institute for Molecular Biology (IBMBCSIC)
and the Institut for Research in
Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona).
The PAC offers investigators the necessary
tools so that starting with a purified
protein sample at high concentration
(1-10 mg/mL) they can research its crystallization
conditions, followed by data
gathering and processing via X-Ray diffraction
of macromolecular crystals.
