PCB-Santander Bioincubator
The Bioincubator PCB-Santander is a space for the creation of new technology-based companies. It is based in a high-level research environment and provides the scientific and technical infrastructure and business management consulting required for the development and growth of a new company in its initial phase.

The Bioincubator PCB-Santander offers a number of laboratories of between 40 and 90 m2 housed in the Hèlix Building of the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) which are fully equipped for all types of scientific activity and provide access to a wide range of cutting edge technology. The Bioincubator also offers the chance to work with the research institutes and academic groups and the 45 companies based in the PCB and with various international organizations and networks.

This project is promoted by the Barcelona Science Park, the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation and Santander Bank and aims to increase the long-term stability of technology-based companies in Catalonia’s biotechnology sector, establish a critical mass of R+D+i, and promote innovation and competitiveness in a global market.

In the period 2007-2010 The Bioincubator PCB-Santander will welcome more than ten new technology-based companies, wich will come to form the second generation of companies incubated within the PCB setting. The five companies that made up the first generation and wich received support from the Centre for Innovation and Business Development (CIDEM) of the Generalitat of Catalonia were graduated in 2006.
