In its vision, mission statement and objectives CERETOX makes clear its commitment to act as a centre for technology transfer, its priority being to help Catalan businesses become more innovative. Of course, transfer and innovation are impossible without the ability to develop the knowledge required to create new technological tools. Put simply, CERETOX cannot escape its obligation (and vocation) to conduct research.
The two units of which the Centre is comprised have taken part and continue to be involved in numerous national and international research projects, both in-house and in collaboration with public bodies and/or companies. The results produced have been published in prestigious journals in the field of toxicology.
Similarly, its members are involved in postgraduate training activities, both through the supervision of doctoral theses and by running seminars and conferences.
As with all the members of Xarxa IT, the internal management and customer services of CERETOX are subject to a quality assurance process based on ISO9001 and EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management), and the Centre is audited and accredited every two years.
