In the field of bioinformatics, MicroArt performs the integration (data warehousing), analysis and treatment (data-mining) of biomedical data from several hospitals and centres around the world, with the aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as cancer. For this activity, MicroArt applies computer programming technology called “intelligent agents”. In this regard, the company is a member of the network of excellence “AgentLink”, which groups universities and enterprises worldwide that develop and apply this type of technology.

One of MicroArt’s goals is to promote ICT in society and to provide a practical vision of this field. In this regard, the company participates in doctoral and masters courses in a number of universities. Furthermore, it also seeks to increase ICT application in the development of Business Intelligence and thereby contributes to improving corporate operations and optimising the use of business resources.
