Biolab has great experience in the following sectors: pharmaceutical, cosmetic, medical devices, biocides, detergents and agro-alimentary. To cover the requirements of each of these sectors, Biolab devotes specialized staff with knowledge of current technological developments and respective legislation.

The services provided by Biolab focus on the quality control of manufacturing processes following GMP and on analytical studies, necessary for the development, product register and quality assurance, such as chemical and physical-chemical characterization, studies on stability and efficacy, toxicological and eco-toxicological evaluation, microbiological studies and chemical research.

In addition, in these fields, Biolab offers an assessment service on the procedures, requirements and documentation for the register and certification of products and also organizes specialized training on analytical techniques and sessions on troubleshooting in each sector.

To fulfil its objectives, Biolab has a network of laboratories and subsidiaries, of which we highlight the central laboratories in Milan, devoted to the chemical-pharmaceutical sector, and those of Bologna for the agro-alimentary sector.

Biolab prioritises quality in service, staff, organization and equipment, and its facilities are accredited and authorized to operate in the distinct sectors, thereby ensuring maximum quality levels (GLP, GMP, EN17025, ISO9000, etc.).

In research, Biolab collaborates with private centres and universities and participates in projects focused on the development of innovative analytical and diagnostic methods, the design of new products and manufacturing processes, the development of innovative systems for control traceability and genetic improvements in the agricultural and stockbreeding sectors.

Biolab has chosen the Parc Científic de Barcelona as the site for its Spanish subsidiary, with the aim to promote its research activity in Europe and provide Spanish companies and research centres access to the portfolio of services and know-how developed over its 30 years of operation.
