How to go from the Airport to the Guesthouse
"El Prat" airport is situated approximately 16 km from the Guest House (Col.legi Major Sant Jordi, CMSJ). You can reach the CMSJ guesthouse either by Taxi, by Bus, or by Train.
BY TAXI: Taking a taxi would be the best option to reach the CMSJ. The journey takes about 25 minutes (depending on the traffic). Approximate price: 30 €. BY BUS: Take "Aerobus" (bus that connects all airport terminals with the city center, see timetables at http://www.aerobusbcn.com/). Get out at the first stop, "PLAÇA D'ESPANYA".[a] It should take about 20-25 min (depending on traffic and airport terminal) and the price is 5.3 €. Alternatively, you can take Bus number 46 (see also http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/airport/transport/barcelona-airport-bus.html). Once in Plaça d'Espanya, you can reach the Guest House either by bus or subway (+ tram or bus): a) + Bus: Take bus 30 at "CREU COBERTA-PLAÇA D'ESPANYA" and get off at "DOCTOR FLEMING-AV SARRIÀ" (11 stops). The average waiting time is 14 min, trajectory time is16 min.[b] b) + Metro (subway): Take line 3 (gren line) metro at the "ESPANYA" station in the direction "ZONA UNIVERSITARIA" and get off at "Maria Cristina" (5 stops).[c] Take the Tram (any one is ok) at "MARIA CRISTINA" and get off at "L'ILLA" (2 stops). Walk 5-10 min to the Guesthouse. Alternatively, you can take any bus that circulates parallel to the Tram along Diagonal (6, 7, 33, 34, 63, 67, 68 and 78). [a] In case you miss this stop, continue until the last stop "Plaça Catalunya", cross the square and take the metro, line 3 in the direction "Zona Universitaria". Follow (b).
BY TRAIN: The train departs from Terminal 2 [d]. If you arrive at Terminal 1 (most likely), take one of the shuttle buses that connect both terminals. Outside Terminal 2, there is a passage that goes to the airport train station. Take Line 1 of the local train service (RENFE Rodalies) as far as the mainline station "BARCELONA SANTS" (about 20 min trip), which has connections with the metro system.[e] Take line 3 (gren line) metro in the direction "ZONA UNIVERSITARIA". Get off at "MARIA CRISTINA" (5 stops). Take the Tram (any one is ok) at "Maria Cristina" and get off at "L'Illa" (2 stops). Walk 5-10 min to the Guest House (see above map). Barcelona Science Park AreaThe Conference will take place at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), located in the campus of the Universitat de Barcelona. The PCB address is Baldiri Reixac 4-8 (near the Barça stadium, "Camp Nou").
