The group of peptidomimetics and bioactive heterocycles (BIOSYNER) is a research unit in the Institut de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (IRBB-PCB).

Our research is focused on the field of Bioorganic Chemistry and is developed in 3 main areas:
-Synthesis of conformaTionally restricted peptidomimetics and pseudopeptides
- Enantioselective molecular recognition
- Synthesis and reactivity of bioactive heterocycles

Our activities involve teaching and research aspects. The former includes practical training for undergraduates, Masters, and PhD students. In research, we develop our own projects and also have collaborations with other groups in Spain and abroad.
One of our priorities is the transfer of technology through services and research projects with chemical and pharmaceutical companies.
