2011 BARCELONA WORKSHOP ON REGIONAL AND URBAN ECONOMICS

AQR-IREA will host the Workshop on Inequality and Regional Growth and Cohesion on November 24th-25th 2011 in Barcelona.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together original research papers that cast some light on the evolution and determinants of economic and social inequality and its impact on regional growth and cohesion.

José Enrique Garcilazo (OECD) and Andrés Rodríguez-Pose (LSE, IMDEA) will be the keynote speakers of the workshop.

Although the Workshop focuses on empirical papers, theoretical studies are also welcome. The accepted papers (around 8) will be presented in plenary sessions that will complement the two keynote speakers’ presentations.
